Deleting a Family Member

You can delete a patient using the Delete button at the top of the Family Member List. You can not delete the guarantor unless the guarantor is the only member in the family. Otherwise, you would need to make another family member the guarantor first.

If you delete a patient, you will no longer be able to access that patient from any portion of the program. Even so, the patient does not actually get deleted, because the patient ID might have been used in different parts of the program, and actually deleting a patient would destabilize the program. If you later access an item that uses a deleted patient (a payment split, for instance), the patient name would still show properly.
