Introduction:
If you are installing on a single computer for testing purposes, you must have Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Additional workstations may be Windows 98 or Windows Me. If you have any problems at all installing it, please call us immediately and we will help you. Toll free 1-877-686-1248.
The downloads are both very large, over 20 MB each, so if you don't have a broadband connection, we would be happy to send you the trial version on CD. The trial version is fully functional except that there is a 30 patient limit. The download includes a blank database which is identical to the one we normally distribute with the application and it also includes a demo database with a few patients in it.
Instructions:
If you have not installed the .NET framework version 1.1 on your computer before, or if you're not sure, click here: www.open-dent.com/dotnetfx.exe.(Select "Open" when given a choice).
Then, install the trial version. Click here: www.open-dent.com/TrialDownload-3.4.24.exe (Select "Open" when given a choice).
After downloading, the following window will come up:
Select Unzip to save the files to the given location and to automatically run the installation program. If, for some reason, you need to run in again later, a copy will be on your harddrive at the specified location.
At the top of this window, select the type of installation you are performing. For a single computer, select 'New Server'. The appropriate checkboxes will be marked. Click Install.
