A Tablet PC generally has the following capabilities: integrated wireless, 1024x768 resolution or better, and touchscreen capability. The downside is that they tend to be about $1000 more expensive than a laptop, and nearly $2000 more expensive than a desktop computer due to the touchscreen and the compact components.
There is no reason why DentOffice should not function perfectly well on a Tablet PC, but it has not been tested. DentOffice was designed for Windows XP, and the Tablet PC operating system is just another variety of Windows XP, so it should work very well. The resolution of a tablet pc is certainly high enough to be able to handle DentOffice. Also, the wireless connection will pose no problem, as describe on the wireless page.
It is true that DentOffice does not have any features that are specific to the Tablet PC. It does not take advantage of any of the touchscreen features like pen recognition. But the program itself will function exactly the same as on a desktop, even though you are using a pen to navigate instead of a mouse.
