This feature is used to organize and enter frequently used notes, and it works from almost any textbox in the program. Right click on a textbox, and select Insert Quick Note.
Above is just a simple example to get you started. On the left, you can add as many categories as you want. You can freely reorder, rename, or delete categories without causing any problems. To edit a category, double click on it in the list.
The description can be whatever you want. The types showing in the list are all of the various places in the program where there are text boxes with this feature enabled. The idea is that you can set up your quick paste notes to be different for each of the types. Frequently, one category is used in a few different types of text boxes. For instance, if you have a Medical category, you might want to set that category to be used for the following types: MedicalSummary, MedicalHistory, MedicalUrgent. So you would hold down the control key and hightlight all three of those types in the list. Click OK to save your changes. Now, if you activate a quick paste note from either of those three text boxes in the program, the Medical category you set up will come up on the screen already selected.
For each category, the right side of the screen will display your list of premade notes. Again, you can reorder, edit, or delete any of these notes. Highlight a note and click the Edit button (because if you double click, it will insert the note in your text box).
The abbreviation can be used to insert your note faster. Instead of having to rightclick on the text box and then select your note, you can just type ?di for instance, and the ?di would be replaced with Diabetes immediately. Of course, this is more useful for longer notes and for notes that you use a lot. Notice that your note can be very long since there is no limit. It can include mulitple lines as well.
You can also quick paste a date from any of the same text boxes by right clicking and selecting Insert Date or by clicking Ctrl-D from within a text box.
